Yesterday we concluded a two-week sermon series on homosexuality, focusing on what the Bible teaches and how Christians are to respond. During the sermon yesterday, I mentioned a few books and I wanted to provide the list again in case you weren’t able to write them down.
Secret Thoughts of an Unlikely Convert
I mentioned this book in the sermon yesterday and found today that the audio version is available for FREE right now! Rosaria Butterfield’s Secret Thoughts of an Unlikely Convert is available from ChristianAudio as the free book this month. It’s written as an autobiographical memoir. (There’s also now an expanded version in print/digital with additional content.)
Is God Anti-Gay?
I also mentioned Is God Anti-Gay? in the sermon yesterday. Sam Allberry is a pastor who knows well the battle towards same-sex attraction. He wrote this short book to help Christians and non-Christians who experience same-sex attraction. It is an excellent read!
What Does the Bible Really Teach about Homosexuality?
Kevin DeYoung’s What Does the Bible Really Teach about Homosexuality? does a great job walking through the pertinent biblical texts and answering common objections to the biblical teaching on homosexuality. This is the book we offered on Sunday mornings to go with the Tough Stuff series. (And it’s half price on Amazon right now!)
