Al Mohler wrote this morning in his blog about the need of Christian parents to teach their children the Bible. He writes:
Children need to be told about the "big story" of the Bible — of God’s purpose to save His people from their sins through the atonement of Christ. They need to learn to understand the individual stories of the Bible within the big picture and to know that these stories are not disconnected, but part of a pattern of promise and fulfillment.
He mentions two books, The Jesus Story Book Bible and The Big Picture Story Bible . (We were blessed to recieve the Jesus Story Book as a baby shower present and have already begun reading through it!) It’s my guess that many parents will understand Jesus and how He fits into all the Bible as a result of reading these two kid’s Bibles.
